Red Ecolsierra is an organic and fair trade cooperative in the unique growing region of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia. The region, which is protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to the world's highest coastal mountain range and offers ideal conditions for high-quality specialty coffee. The members of Red Ecolsierra are small farming families who combine organic farming with traditional and modern sustainable methods. In addition to coffee, they also produce cocoa and honey and make a valuable contribution to biodiversity and climate protection.

The cooperative pursues three central goals:
Regeneration of society: After decades of civil war, Red Ecolsierra promotes social cohesion and was awarded the “Emprender Paz” peace prize in 2017.
Protection of the environment: The members are actively committed to preserving the biosphere in this unique region.
Innovation: Through continuous quality improvement, they set new standards for specialty coffee.
A special feature of the cooperative is the promotion of women and young producers. Many members, such as Q-grader Mildred or the visionary farmer Jaime, are role models in the community and are passionate about achieving the cooperative's goals. The cooperative is also organic and fair trade certified.
